8/2/2019 New Vegas Motorcycle Mod
Unfortunately, vehicles are one of those things that have never made an official appearance in the Fallout universe. This is primarily due to a few factors, with the primary one being that the game engine just isn’t stable enough to use vehicles. Also the terrain in the Fallout games, is obviously very crooked with broken roads and blocked paths, who wants to walk around a clean wasteland?
Whilst Bethesda don’t plan on implementing their own vehicle system, that doesn’t mean the modders wont! Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas both got there own share of vehicle mods, and now Fallout 4 is getting some too thanks to the modding community!
In this post, where going to talk about the “Driveable Motorcycle Mod” by Hunk92 on Nexusmods. It adds a motorcycle to the game, which you can customise by adding different paint jobs and equipment.
Mod installation
Head over to the mod page here. Ensure that you are signed in, if not create a new account (it’s free!). As of right now, I’m unsure on whether installing via the Nexus Mod manager is supported. Instead, we’re going to do it manually. Click the green “Download (Manual) button at the top. On the next page, under “Driveable Motorcycle”, select “download manually”, a ZIP file will begin downloading. Inside it are 5 files, select everything apart from the “README”. Drop the selected files inside the “Data” folder in your main Fallout 4 directory.
Now, you need to add one line to your Fallout4.ini, which should be located at DocumentsMy GamesFallout4. Open it with notepad or your preferred software and add the following line: bApplyCameraNodeAnimations=0
You may already have that line inserted, so double check. The mod is now installed and you can run the game. Note: You may have to go into Nexus Mod Manager and go into the plugins tab. Here, you should tick “Driveable motorcycle”.
In game
When you have installed the mod, you can find the motorcycle behind the Museum of Freedom. You should note that it isn’t directly behind it, there is a small area with some big containers and rusted cars, that is where you will find it.
Once you’ve found it, don’t expect to be able to ride it straight away, you’re going to need to repair it with:
Once repaired, you can mount your bike and ride it! It’s much better to go first person. Use W to accelerate and use your mouse to steer, pretty simple. Your best bet would be to drive it to your nearest Chemistry station to do some mighty fine upgrades.
At the chemistry station, you can craft paints for the main body and the wheels. You can also create various equipment such as front lights, storage box and even a cart for dog meat to ride in! When you craft these items, they’ll end up in your wearable items slot. Just transfer them over to the motorcycle and equip them to make the changes.
Soooooo, I was so pissed to walk everywhere in far harbor that i finally decided to make a driveable motorcycle mod like I there were in fallout 3 and new vegas.
So far, everything i wanted to make work pretty well. The model is done, player, followers and dogmeat animations are done.
For an unknown reason, wheels don't animate in-game but they do in the Creation Kit. Also the behavior i use don't have any backwalk state so there's no possibility to add one atm.
To do list:
- Settings holotape with :

- Gas system (not sure how i'll do it)

I've been Given the go ahead to post a Request in here as well as for the Fallout 3 mod requests forum without it being considered spam.I noticed when playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas that none of the armour resembles one of my favourite suits of Armour from the old games, and over the months, and years since it's release I was somewhat surprised that with all the Classic Weapons and Armours making a mod appearance, the Classic Leather Armour was nowhere to be found. The Leather Armour in Fallout 3 and New Vegas more resembles the Leather Jacket, in the Road Warrior way, even the alleged 'Classic Leather Armor' would be more accurately titled 'Classic Leather Jacket'. However, the Fallout 3 Equivalent to the Leather Jacket in game play rather than appearance was the Tunnel Snakes outfit, not the Leather Armour. This is what Leather Armour from fallout 1 and 2 looked like in the Inventory screen, although a fair bit of it is plastic and polymer rather than Leather. And the Mark II 'This leather armor is based on pre-war armor designed for Motorcycle Football and other dangerous contact sports. It is likely that the simple construction techniques required to produce armor of this design made it a popular choice following a nuclear disaster. It provides moderate protection, and the light construction makes it easier to dodge attacks while worn. Unfortunately, it provides little to no protection against explosions or Plasma attacks.' How it looked on an In game Sprite, Ironically the Thumbnail on the page is actually larger than the image itself. Another http://fallout.wikia..Npc_leather.gif Female example http://fallout.wikia..Leathergirl.gif Concept Art from Fallout 1 featuring the armour I'm thinking In Fallout 3 and New Vegas it would look something like a cross between this and this as a starting point. Now I know that Classic Fallout 1 and 2 Combat Armour is available (even the brotherhood variant), and for that I am very grateful, now I would very much appreciate someone able to make this armour into Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Stat Wise I imagine this armour to be the best Light Armour one can get, before getting into medium and heavy, since it is already borderline.
